Original Marathon IX
Original Marathon returns Saturday 7 March 2026 for only the 9th running of this historic route. Windsor Castle to White City - London's newest, oldest marathon.

The first EVER 26.2 mile marathon was at the London 1908 Olympic Games, the route was not re-run until 1933 to 1937 as the Polytechnic Marathon. In 2024, a pioneering group of runners set out on the first event on this historic course for over 80 years as Original Marathon VII. The event doubled in size the following year for Original Marathon VIII. The event has doubled in size again for Original Marathon IX (2026).

In 2026, you too can run in the footsteps of legends and take part in Original Marathon IX:
HALF PRICE charity tickets are currently available. The Launch Tickets were SOLD OUT in a matter of days. The ballot was operated to fairly distribute the remaining tickets - the ballot was run on 1 October 2025. The only way to now enter the event is via our amazing charity partner - Aspire.
